Overview:

The fear is real-many professionals nod in meetings where financials are discussed, but don't fully understand what the ratios mean or how they relate to strategic decisions.

This session is designed to close that gap. It doesn't just list formulas-it explains what they mean, why they matter, and how to use them to draw conclusions. You'll learn how ratios connect to each other, how to benchmark against industry peers, and how to interpret red flags in the numbers.

Don't let unfamiliarity with ratios limit your role or confidence. Join this session and gain the tools to make smarter, more informed decisions-backed by numbers you actually understand.

Why should you Attend:
Are you interpreting financial statements-or just reading them? Too often, professionals see the numbers but miss the meaning. Without ratio analysis, it's nearly impossible to evaluate whether a company is profitable, efficient, or even solvent. And in today's volatile economic environment, a surface-level understanding just isn't enough.

If you're involved in credit decisions, financial reporting, budgeting, risk evaluation, or performance reviews, not knowing how to perform ratio analysis can lead to costly errors. You may overlook warning signs of liquidity issues, misjudge a borrower's leverage, or fail to see when profitability trends are masking deeper operational problems. Worse yet, your decisions could be based on isolated numbers instead of actionable insights.

Areas Covered in the Session:

  • Quick review of financial statements and how they link together
  • What is ratio analysis and why it matters
  • Categories of financial ratios:
    • Liquidity (e.g., Current Ratio, Quick Ratio)
    • Profitability (e.g., Gross Margin, Net Margin, ROA, ROE)
    • Solvency/Leverage (e.g., Debt-to-Equity, Interest Coverage)
    • Efficiency (e.g., Inventory Turnover, Accounts Receivable Turnover)
    • Market Ratios (e.g., P/E Ratio, Earnings per Share)
  • How to calculate and interpret key ratios
  • Understanding ratio relationships and financial red flags
  • Real-world case studies and practical examples

Who Will Benefit:
  • Anyone
